Custom Hotshoe

The Lightshoe is rather unique.  It makes the shoe’s contact with the ground more stable, and, as Gary’s sponsored riders will confirm, its unique shape helps to keep each rider’s foot in the right direction while sliding.

.

The sides of the Lightshoe are closed, so the shoe has no stress points when a rider is walking in the pits.  A hard surface is used to coat where the point of contact happens. A “sole patch” is applied, which adds better protection. Gary also stamps the rider’s name, his business name and phone number, and a serial number inside each shoe.

Testimonials

“Gary Kinzler at Lightshoe has been building hotshoes for quite a few years now, and a few years ago I had the opportunity to use one of  Gary’s shoes and noticed right away just how light they were, and what a nice change it was to have something lighter on my foot after a long day at the race track. There have been a lot of changes to his shoes over the years, to make them work as best as possible. I just recently won the 2009 Daytona Grand National Short track with my new Lightshoe on, so yah, they work great!”

“When Lightshoe approached American Supercamp about supplying all of our steel hot shoe needs, there was only one stipulation. Gary wanted to know what he could do to make his shoes better. True to his word, every steel shoe we have ever gotten is better than the last. Better fitting, longer lasting, nicer looking, that is what American Supercamp really loves about Lightshoe. Like us he is always striving to be better. The Best Never Stop Learning!!”

Danny Walker, American Supercamp

“I have been wearing a Lightshoe for several years now and it has been great working with Gary to try and help him develop the best steel shoe available. The shoes slide great and the craftsmanship is awesome. The best thing about Gary is he will take the time to cater to each user’s needs and make sure you get the most out of your steel shoe. I have owned about every different kind of boot imaginable and Lightshoe gets the proper fit you need regardless of your boot preference. Next time your in the market for a steel shoe I would suggest a Lightshoe, it’s all I wear.”

“Really, it comes down to the products and services that our sponsors provide which, in turn, makes our school experience so positive for the students. That’s due to the high quality that we demand in each area.”…Steel shoe maker Lightshoe is new for 2009. Owner Gary Kinzler is a big fan of the Mystery School and our mission is to promote flat tracking as a skill needed by all riders. Gary will keep us stocked up on all sizes of steel shoes and will repair them as they wear down from all the hours of riding we do each day!

“Gary’s technique makes the shoe’s contact with the ground more stable and many have commented that because of the bend and shape of the Lightshoe, it helps to keep their foot in the right direction while sliding. When the rider is walking in the pits, the shoe has no stress points because the sides of the shoe are closed rather than the traditional open sides. A hard surface that is used coats where the point of contact happens…I am completely impressed with Gary’s support in the sport. Thank you Gary for what you do and how you do it. I like the fact that you give back. I also love the fact that you do help the up and coming riders as they are the future Chris Carrs and Joe Kopps of the sport.”

“I was first introduced to Gary Kinzler and his Lightshoe at the Sturgis short track in 2005. At the time I was wearing a Maely shoe and the old Maely boots that frankly didn’t offer much protection. I wanted to switch to a trials boot so I asked Gary to build me a Lightshoe. It was a very good decision. I was impressed with the look and feel of the shoe when it arrived and even more satisfied when I tried it out. Later on, Gary built me a great shoe for a hard-to-fit road race boot. It works perfectly.

Even though I’m a senior rider, he gives me the same attention that he offers the young up and comers and pros that wear his shoes. His turnaround time is outstanding and he stands by his product. Because of Gary’s craftsmanship and his constant quest for perfection, I believe each new owner of a Lightshoe will be extremely satisfied. I know I am.”

“Since using Lightshoe, I have discovered it is the best hotshoe available for me. With Lightshoe you get a superior design with the best fit in the industry. I can barely pull my Lightshoe off of my boot because it fits so well. All of this is great, but working with Gary Kinzler, owner of Lightshoe, is even greater. He will work with you on everything. Gary Kinzler could be the Ken Maely of our time.
